Blake Sennett tried to get away from music. He really did. But only a year after the former Rilo Kiley guitarist (who confirmed only recently that the band was indeed kaput) had separated himself from recording and performing, choosing to focus instead on writing and directing a short film, he found himself back in the studio. Friend and producer Jason Cupp talked him into an impromptu session, and from there, the third album by The Elected was born. And fortunately for us, Blake Sennett assembled a crew to perform the new songs live on the road and stopped by the KEXP studios to play them for us. Watch the videos from the session now:
